Retaining Deal ID across multiple pipelines

Hi there, is there a way to retain the same Deal ID from the Sales Pipeline, once it progresses into another pipeline e.g. Onboarding?

So far new deal IDs are created as each deal moves across and I cannot figure out how to prevent this.

Hey @BLA, are you moving the deal from pipeline to pipeline or are you duplicating it?

I haven't worked out how to move it from one pipeline to another - is it possible? At the moment Im crating a new deal in the On Boarding pipeline once the original deal reaches closed won

You can, you can just alter their "Pipeline" property when you edit the deal.  That would keep your deals from changing their internal ID.

Ah, I don't really want to be doing that to 200+ existing deals.

The Deal ID does not change when moving from pipeline to pipeline. The only time a Deal ID should change is when you delete it or duplicate.
