You would have to work with record ownership and ownership permissions to accomplish that - e.g. when a deal moves to a certain stage, use a workflow to change or remove the owner of all associated records. In most cases however I'd say that will do more harm than good, especially for reporting.

Thank you for your response. According to the article, updates are allowed on associated objects. Is there a way to prevent changes on associated objects or any potential workaround?
