Requesting a, receiving a, giving or rejecting an approval.

SOLVE

Hi.

 

Does HubSpot allow a user to

 

  • Request an approval
  • Receive an approval
  • Giving or rejecting an approval

 

For example, you may wish to request authorisation to issue a quote if the value of the deal > €10,000.

 

If the answer is no, I would be interested in understanding what other approval systems people are using.

Hi @BLP422,

 

Yes, this is possible. In your settings, navigate to Sales > Products & Quotes, click the Quotes tab and click the toggle "Require approval on all quotes". This will create three workflows:

 

requires-approval.png changes-requested.png approved.png

I haven't used this myself but it looks like you could modify these workflows as follows:

  • create an additional quote-based workflow that enrolls quotes with Quote approval status is any of Pending approval and Quote amount is less than $10,000 and that sets the Quote approval status to Approved
  • adjust the enrollment trigger of the "When quotes require approval" workflow to only enroll quotes with Quote approval status is any of Pending approval and Quote amount is equal to or greater than $10,000, don't change anything about the rest of the workflow

SOLVE

Is it possible to modify the workflow to ONLY trigger approval request if the unit discount is above a certain threshold? For example, we only want to require approvals if the rep enters a discount greater than 15%. However, I'm not seeing the option to add any  filters on discounting or line items.
