Removing Email from HubSpot Form Breaks CRM Data Sync — How to Use Phone Number Only?
SOLVE
I wanted to make my HubSpot form simple and fast by using only the phone number and removing the email field to capture data more easily. However, now I’m facing issues with data not syncing properly to the CRM. Are there any recommended solutions or workarounds to completely remove the email field from the form while ensuring data sync works correctly when using only the phone number?
The email is the unique identifier in HubSpot for contacts. Alongside the record ID. Without it, HubSpot cannot associate form submission data with contact records. Custom identifiers (custom properties required to be unique) are not yet supported in forms, Unfortunately, as far as I know, there aren't any workarounds here that do not involve developing your own HubSpot private app and custom forms solution to implement your own phone number based logic.

Should I move to other platforms now that I'm starting to feel frustrated? Does that make sense? And if I wanted to develop this, how much would it cost?

@Akhalaf5 that depends on the bigger picture, hard to say from just this request / thread. Can you share a bit more about your processes and use cases?
But yes, if deduplication of submission by phone number is crucial, then HubSpot might not be the best choice, yes.
Costs for development again depend on the exact use case and context.
