Receiving Leads
SOLVEMay 12, 2020 11:53 AM
I have created my first form. This form is not for a website, as I will be receiving leads from external software's. One company would like to send me leads via CSV. How can I upload a CSV for this form?

Hi @clever-nrg
No, uploading a contact will not trigger an email to the contact.
Correct, we classify leads and contacts as the same object in HubSpot, this post explains more about it ( Quick Tip: Associating Contacts, Companies, and Deals - A Case Study in Lemonade )
@Krystina @MAC-MCB is there any suggestion for @clever-nrg to his contacts as they are added into HubSpot to create a task at the same time?
Kindly,
Pam

Hi @PamCotton and @clever-nrg .
I would import the contacts as previously described so well with links.
Once the import is done, I will create a list of these imports.
(This can be selected as the last step before you start importing)
From there, I would create a workflow, that is only active on contacts that are added to the list.
(The workflow can be created first, but it can also be created later - and from your workflow, you choose the option to include "previously fulfilled condition")
Set up workflow for "Create task = Call"
and boom .. You are now ready
Hope this helps.. 🙂
Best regards

Hi @clever-nrg,
Yes, that's where HubSpot is beyond superb.
With workflows you can build as many different tasks as you can almost dream of. 🙂
1. Start up your workflow, as I mentioned earlier.
2. Send marketing email (pre-call marketing email)
3. Wait (1 day, 3 days etc)
4. Create task "Call".
In between steps 3-4, you can set up an "if statement" that will make your workflow smarter and thereby begin to exploit the full potential of marketing automation.
(eg. Has marketing mail secured a meeting booking? .. If no - inform [Person]
If yes - create task "call")
Hope this helps.. 🙂
Best regards
