Question regarding contact lifecycle stage/import defaults (Can it be "lead" and not "subscriber")?

SOLVE

Hi,

I am importing people one at a time through seamless.ai after researching a lead on LinkedIn. When they get imported into Hubspot their default designation is "Subscriber" - can this default be modified so they go in as "lead"?

Thank you for any help.

Hi @Alec_S

This cannot be edited through the integration settings but you could set up a workflow that automatically sets contacts coming from this source to lead instead of subscriber. Do you have a Pro subscription?
Happy to walk you through it if needed 🙂

Question regarding contact lifecycle stage/import defaults (Can it be "lead" and not "subscriber")?

SOLVE

Hi @Alec_S,

If you have workflows, the first step would be to check the Original source, Original source drill-down 1 and Original source drill-down 2 of a contact you know was created through seamless.ai.

Navigate to a contact record and click the View all properties button in the left sidebar. A full overview of properties should open. In the search bar, type "Original source" and note the values that are showing especially in drill-down 1 and drill-down 2. Make sure to hover over these values, sometimes they show a label and not the internal value right away. If there is an internal value, note that.

Your contact-based workflow (Menu > Automation > Workflow) would then look like this:

Make sure to include the latest source drill-down properties, too. A contact might not have been created by seamless.ai but exist already in your CRM. This would catch those contacts as well.

In case you're wondering, contacts with a later Lifecycle stage (such as "Opportunity") will not be set back to "Lead". This property can only go forward.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

Hi Olivia,

Thank you for such a fast reply. I do have a pro subscription and do not know how to set up what you are describing! I will attempt it myself and if I cannot figure it out might take you up on your kind offer. Thank you.

You are welcome @Alec_S. Feel free to ping me for further questions. HINT: For the workflow, try using the original source drilldown 1/2 values as the enrollment trigger.
