Is there a best practice when it comes to marking a contact at a company as the primary point of contact? This will be helpful for building lists, workflows, email campaigns, etc.
I see an option to create a new label, but wanted to see what others do.
Association labels are the correct answer here, if they are available to you in your subscription.
A custom property marking a contact as primary is, in theory and at a first glance, also an option. It does however not force you to remove the value from another contact on that company and could result in multiple contacts being marked as primary.
With association labels you can define how many records can hold a certain label in an association. They also integrate nicely with automated emails in workflows, lists, reports.
Best regards!
