Is it possible to consolidate pipelines while keeping all previous deal information? We are considering combining two pipelines, but don't want to lose info on hundreds of deals that are still being worked. Also, many of these deals are in workflows with triggering events, would a pipeline change trigger the workflow action?
If you love deals to another pipeline, you lose the deal stage entered dates. This cannot be prevented and there aren't any workarounds, unfortunately. It's inevitable, unfortunately. You could consider abandoning the pipeline but keeping the deals there, only creating all new deals in the consolidated pipeline.
Regarding workflows, yes, there is definitely a risk but this depends on what you have set up. Anything that's triggered by a change in deal stage would have to be reviewed and enrollment criteria tightened to make sure these workflows don't fire unintentionally. In other words, you need to check all deal based workflows manually. If you stumble upon and have a specific question about it, feel free to share screenshots.
Best regards!
