Hello, is it possible for the developers to look into ways of stopping personal email addresses being automatically added to a contact record? We are having issues with contacts completing our online forms and the records being auto-populated by their personal email addresses. We have tried to stop this by putting in an extra "verify your email box" but this has not solved the issue. Is there a way of these extra addresses being flagged in the system somehow that we can then review? This is not the same as duplicate emails. Thank you.
Could you share a bit more context? It's not quite clear to me what exactly you'd like to achieve. When a website visitor uses their personal email address in a form, what would you like to happen?
Do you want contacts to confirm their email address before they can receive anything else? (If so, this would be a so-called double opt-in.)
Or do you want to prevent contacts from using personal email addresses at all? In that case, in the forms editor, you can click into the Email field and the left sidebar will open. Here you can exclude freemail addresses:
Lastly and generally, HubSpot is not autopopulating an email field with information that was not explicitly provided by a contact. Whatever a contact types into a form will be what's shown as Email address property value.
Best regards!
