We want to develop an outbound sales process that works like this:
Process design
1. Campaign manager selects companies, buts them in a static list
2. For each company on the list a deal is generated automatically (we have achieved this through a custom field on the company that is temporarily set to a defined value through mass customization, this triggers a workflows that creates the deals)
3. For each company on the list: send an email to all contacts (or contacts with a defined property value) that are in those companies as a starting point of the conversation
4. Sales people pick up their deal and contact the customers (which received the automatic email in 3.)
1. and 2. works fine. But we are stuck with 3.
Problem is: we can not build a workflow or contact-static-list selection based on the company list membership. Company list membership seems to be more limited vs. contact list membership.
Happy for any ideas 🙂 Also if you think that the process design can be done better.
For example, you could create an active contact list, select filter type Company properties, find your temporary custom property from step 2 and choose "Has ever been equal to". That should return all contacts from those companies in step 2.
Another way to go about this is by filter type Deal properties. You could find all contacts with a deal that is in a certain deal stage, for example.
Once you have the list, you can use the membership in the list as an enrollment trigger for a contact-based workflow.
Hope this helps!
