Numeric field sorting issue

I am using a numeric field for an account number. The number range is between 1 and 5000.  When sorting 1; 100-199; 1000-1999 all wind up together. What changes are necessary in the property of the field to achieve numerical order?

Do you mind sharing where you are getting stuck and what you're seeing? I am not sure I understand where this is happening at the moment.

@jennysowyrda Sorry I fixed this.  The person who set up the field did not set it up as numeric.
