Notes & Attachments vanishing when deal added


I'm new to hubsopt and I'm having some teething issues with adding details to a contact.  If I add a note to their profile and attach a PDF (this is a copy of a quote sent) the information stays there.  If I then add a 'deal' for them, the previous information disapears.


I can add the deal first then the notes / attachements and the information all remains but this only works if I have the deal information first.... 


Am I doing something wrong or is there a glitch?  Currently on the free trail as I'm assessing the worth for the business to invest in, with information vanishing I am now unsure if this is reliable....

This is currently working as designed, when you are adding notes directly to the contact record those notes do not carry over to the deal record automatically. You would need to go back into the notes and add the associate to the deal as pictured below.

If it is the reverse and you are creating Note in the deal record, they can associate it with the Contact by clicking on the "Associated with 1 record" option at the bottom (I'm attaching an image of this option) 🙂


We can also associate or edit the Note's associations records after they're created by clicking on the Note title and following these steps:

1. Select the "1 associations" option that appeared at the bottom of the Note

2. Select the "Contacts" tab in the window that popped-up

3. Checking the checkbox beside the Contact's name
