No Unassigned contacts

SOLVE

Good day,

After a weekend of not being on the Hubspot plattform, I would usually return on a Monday to roughly 20 unassigned contacts but this morning there is not one. This is not normal. We have been using this plattform for roughly 6 years and we have always had unussigned contacts. Please investigate.

Kind regards,

Lee

No Unassigned contacts

SOLVE

Hi @LHart3,

This is a user-to-user community – no one here has access to your portal and can investigate this for you. If you're on a paid subscription, you could theoretically reach out to HubSpot support in-app via chat or email.

But: The most likely explanation is that this Monday there are simply no unassigned contacts. Either no new contacts were generated, or someone set up an automation to automatically assign them or someone already assigned them before you checked.

You can check easily be navigating to the contact index page (Menu → CRM → Contacts), into the All contacts tab, and add a column (if it's not there) for 'Create date'. Sort by 'Create date' and check how many contacts were added over the weekend.

If none exist, none were created – or they have since been deleted. You can check by attempting to restore contacts: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/restore-deleted-records

If new contacts exist and all have an owner and if you want to know why these are already assigned, open the records and check the property history for "Cotnact owner": https://knowledge.hubspot.com/records/view-record-property-history

Hi @LHart3

This is a community of volunteers and not HubSpot Support, so we can not investigate or access your account.

Having said that, what sort of troubleshooting and investigation have you carried out thus far?

  • Have you made sure no filters are applied to your view?
  • Compared sources for new/unassigned contacts?
  • Logged a ticket with HubSpot Support?
