Need help with lead stage conditional logic

SOLVE

Hi,

I have this situation: there are two group of sales, they sell different prodcuts and their way to work with leads are different. So they need different lead stages.

For example, the sales reps group A needs lead stage 1, 2, 3A, 4A 5A; sales reps group B needs lead stage 1, 2, 3B, 4B and 5B.

Is there any way to create this result? I am thinking maybe we can use conditonal logic. Like if the lead owner is A, then those lead stages are shown, if the lead owner is B, then the other lead stages are shown. But when I try to do this, I can only select one lead stage.

Could any body help me to solve this problem, please?

Thanks a lot!

Need help with lead stage conditional logic

SOLVE

@EmilyHanMo if your goal is to have a specific lead pipeline not be visible for Mo Han, that's currently not possible. There are no lead pipeline access settings for lead pipelines yet like they are for deal pipelines. Conditional settings will not work here.

Need help with lead stage conditional logic

SOLVE

Hi @EmilyHanMo,

This sounds very much like a case for a separate lead pipeline: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/object-settings/set-up-and-customize-pipelines#create-a-new-pipeline-s...

If some stages are consistently different / skipped for some of the leads, that's a sign that a separate pipeline is in order.

Setting this up with conditional logic is technically possible, but would require assisting workflows and properties so that you can 'flatten' multiple conditions (stage + A/B) into one.

Best regards!

Need help with lead stage conditional logic

SOLVE

Hi Karsten,

Thank you for your quick reply. The problem is, it seems impossible to create separate pipeline for lead object.

For example, if I follow the instruction from the knowledge base, I go to settings, select the object, (for example, I select "ticket"), then I go to pipeline, the there is an option to create differente pipelines:

However, if I go to "lead" object and then go to "pipeline", this option doesn´t appear...

That´s why I was thinking about using conditional logic.

Do you have any suggestion on how I can do this?

Thanks a lot!

@EmilyHanMo have you opted into the beta, as highlighted in the article?

Creating a new pipeline is in BETA for leads. If you're a Super Admin, learn how to opt your account into the BETA.

Need help with lead stage conditional logic

SOLVE

Hi Karsten,

Thanks a lot for your reminder! I have joined the beta and now I can create different lead pipelines.

Now again I have a question related to conditonal logic. What I want is, for example, there are two  pipelines: lead pipelines, and LRAD pipelines. If the lead owner is X, then only the lead pipeline appears; if the lead owner is Y, then only the LRAD pipeline appears.

I have tried to set up the logic with my self:

But then when I create a lead, it still let´s me choose between the two pipelines:

Could you help me to solve this, please?

Thanks!

I have tried to turn of the sync of contact owner and lead owner, now it let´s me choose two times the lead pipeline:

I only want it to appear once... and I want it to appear according to the condition. Is it possible?

Hi Karsten,

Thanks for you quick reply. Then is it possible to make certain lead stages invisible for a user? For example, when the lead owner is Mo Han, then lead stage 3 and 4 don´t appear; if the lead owner is Lucy, then lead stage 5 and 6 don´t appear.

Thanks.

@EmilyHanMo as far as I can tell, no, this is not possible. You could request this in the HubSpot Ideas section of the community: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas

Thank you so much Karsten. One last question: is it possible to hide certain lead type based on the lead owner?
