Multiple amounts on Deals

SOLVE

Hey folks,

I am seeking some best practise.

We are a pretty simple SaaS company where we operate with two price points on Deals:

  1. The recurring/subscription amount.
  2. Fixed implementation price.

On Deals there is one field for amount, but is it possible to have multiple price/amounts on Deals. In our situation: one for recurring and one for fixed?

Hi @JHalliday,

What level of HubSpot are you using? Here's a resource for Enterprise

If you're on Pro, I have used a workaround using calculated properties. It pulls the deal amount and contract length in months and then calculates MRR from those values.

Question - is there a single deal that would include the up-front implementation fee and then the subscription or are there 2 deals? If they are 2 deals, you could create an option to label the specific deal as a subscription, and then on your calculated property, make that a condition in order to calculate the property.

If it is all on one deal, it might get a bit more challenging.

There are a ton of SaaS companies using HubSpot, so I'd be interested in seeing some of the other ways people are doing this.

Hi, Josh! Can you share a little bit more about how you used calculated properties?

Multiple amounts on Deals

Hi @JHalliday,

Yes, that's possible. You can create a custom deal property for the second amount, I'd suggest a number / currency field type.

This second field wouldn't be shown in the deal kanban view. However, you could make it easily accessible in the deal record sidebar: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-setup/customize-record-sidebars

Hope this helps!

Yes. This I know will be possible, but I was hoping that it could be taken into the kanban view, but I guess not...
