Multi checkbox override or add if the same record submits the form more than once

SOLVE

Hi, I couldn't find this in the knowledge base or the community. So if Record Monica fills out a form about an event registration and the property has all the events of 2024 and then on another event the same record Monica submits the same form but checks other event does it override or adds up?

Multi checkbox override or add if the same record submits the form more than once

SOLVE

Hi @MonicaLozanoL,

Yes, the default behavior is that the information is overwritten, not appended, unfortunately.

Other users have requested a better setting for this before: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Append-new-values-to-multiple-checkbox-property-inste...1

I'd recommend upvoting and commenting on the request. The product team reviews these requests based on their popularity.

You can also make it easier for others to find this request by accepting my reply as a solution. I'd appreciate it, too.

In terms of workarounds, I'm only aware of workarounds involving workflows (available in Professional subscriptions). You would create one property for use in forms and one property to append new values from the form. This could be achieved with the Copy property value in workflows which has the option to append instead of replace.

Best regards!
