Most recent Date in a report

I recently found a work around to report on most recent note in Hubspot. I created 2 fields on the deal that copies over any new notes and allows reporting on the field. However the problem I'm running into is the format of the note in the report. I added screenshots to show what I mean. For example when a note is left on the deal it looks like the first pic, when its copied to the deal property its shows correct in the deal (2nd pic). However when I pull the field into the report it shows all the arrows from the original note. Is there a way to get this to copy over just the text for each deal? I tried to switch both body preview and Note body to copy and it still is not correct.The actual noteThe created deal level fieldthe report note

Hello All,

Wanted to share a workaround I found that helped us achieve this. I created two properties on the deal level called "Most recent Note" and "Recent Note date". I then created a workflow that copied over any new created note associated with the deal into these properties which we could bring into the report and it allowed us to show the most recent.

It sounds like the copied note is bringing over hidden formatting elements that are affecting the display. One possible solution is to check if the workflow used to copy the note allows for extracting plain text instead of rich text. 

If you have access to Operations Hub or custom code actions in workflows, applying a small JavaScript or Python script could help strip out unwanted formatting before saving the text to the deal property. 

If reporting is the main concern, exporting the data into a spreadsheet and using text functions to clean the format before importing it back into HubSpot might be an option.

If none of these solutions work, could you provide more details on how the text is being copied and whether the formatting issue appears in all reports or just certain types?
