I struggle to understand the concept of business units in HS, so forgive me if this is a dumb question.
If I create an email in one Hubspot business unit (let's call it BU A) and attach a list with mixed leads, will the system automatically exclude leads from the other BU (BU B)?
Thank you, Lucila. I just ran a test, and the email was delivered despite the recipient not being subscribed to the picked subscription type. Turns out, you CAN mix it up if your privacy settings allow you to email contacts who have not specified to subscription types. Important caveat, I would say.
You are right. Each BU has its own subscription type, which ensures compliance and prevents cross-BU email sending. Leads must be subscribed to the relevant subscription type for the specific BU to receive emails sent from that BU.

No, Hubspot will not exclude leads automatically from one business unit to another when you create an email in one business unit with mixed leads unless you specifically filter or segment the list to exclude BU B leads as HubSpot treats each BU separately.
