Migrating from SF to Hubspot CRM

Greetings,

 

We are in the process of migrating from SF to Hubspot CRM and have successfully imported all of our opportunities, next up contacts and accounts.

 

A couple of questions.

 

1) How do we change the layout of the fields/properties, right now they are in alphabetical order.

2) How do we connect contacts and companies with our deals?

3) How do we also connect the deal source with the deal. We recieve our deas from multiple sources?

Q1) How do we change the layout of the fields/properties, right now they are in alphabetical order.

 

A) You can segment your contacts, companies, and deals based on specific characteristics. Custom saved filters allow you to quickly and easily see which contacts, companies, or deals meet the criteria you've set at any given time. Q2) How do we connect contacts and companies with our deals?

 

A) The HubSpot Knowledge Base has several User Guides that walk you through CRM setup. Check out Step 4 on this knowledge article r.e. how to associate deals with contact and company records: A Quick Tour of Deals & Deal Properties

 

 

3) How do we also connect the deal source with the deal. We recieve our deas from multiple sources?
There is a default Deal Property called Original source type. This is populated by HubSpot based on the original source for the associated contact, or associated company if there is no contact, with the oldest value for the Time first seen property. Original Source Drill-Down 1 and Original Source Drill-Down 2  are properties that tore further information on the source of the Contact's first visit and their values vary depending on the Original Source Type property.

 

At this time these properties cannot be edited.
