Migrating from HubSpot to Salesforce

SOLVE

We've decided to migrate from HubSpot CRM to Salesforce.

In addition to all the Contact and Account properties, is it possible to export all the activities for Contact and Account objects? ex. Email Conversations, Notes and Tasks?

Hi @Chris_Hughes!

You can export activities using HubSpot Engagements API or you can connect your HubSpot account to your new Salesforce account. I'm just not quite sure if this will sync past activity.

I already saw some people using HubSpot Reports to export activities, but not sure how you could send that to Salesforce.

Best,

Felipe Felix

One option is to export all of your CRM data using Ultimate Data Export for HubSpot

Ultimate Data Export is available free of charge in the HubSpot App Marketplace.

With the Ultimate Data Export for HubSpot you can export the following data tables and their associations:

    • Contacts
    • Web Analytics
    • Companies
    • Deals
    • Deal History
    • Owners
    • Campaigns
    • Engagements
    • Emails
    • Products
    • Tickets
    • and more related subdata such as Pipelines and Associations.

Here is a brief explainer video on the app.

Moving from HubSpot to Salesforce can definitely be a bit of a process, especially when you want to preserve relationships between contacts, companies, deals, and activities. One thing that helps a lot is planning out your object mapping ahead of time—Salesforce has a more rigid structure, so knowing exactly where each piece of data will go can save you cleanup later.

If you're not going the fully manual route, you might want to use a tool that helps manage the data transfer and keeps associations intact. Skyvia is one option that handles that kind of migration pretty smoothly—it can move data between both platforms and lets you define how objects and fields map between them. That way, you're not starting from scratch in Salesforce, and you reduce the risk of missing anything important.
