Merging Custom Object and Contact

We're looking to merge a custom object and a contact when importing a CSV file. It is the same info just in two properties and we would like to merge these during import but don't have the ability to add an email or customer ID to the data on csv. Is there a way to do this without a third party app like InCycle?

Hi @MBrink2,

Merges are only possible within an object, not between objects. You can merge contacts, you can merge custom objects, but you can't merge contacts with custom objects.

If that's not what you mean, could you maybe rephrase your request without using the term 'merge'? What exactly is your intended outcome? Why import contacts and a custom object if the outcome is merged anyway?
