Is there any information on how the new "Appointments" object works together with the Meeting Scheduler?
We want to keep track of our meetings (mainly digital ones), and we often use the built-in Meeting Scheduler for this purpose. I’m trying to find good ways to create workflows around bookings. For example, we want to make it visible in the Help Desk workspace when a meeting has been scheduled. Having a dedicated object for meetings could simplify some of this work, but it’s important to know if there’s a smart integration between a scheduled meeting via the Meeting Scheduler and the new Appointments object.
Hey @rw1982! The Appointments object is complete and individual, just like a Deal or a Ticket. At this time, only the Contact object is directly associated with the Meeting scheduler. That said, you could set up an event-based workflow to create an associated appointment object any time a meeting is booked
Let me know if I did not understand your questions or if you need additional clarification!

what exactly is meant by the criteria “meeting booked”?
I would like to ensure that every time a meeting is scheduled or logged (via the “schedule a meeting” or “log a meeting” functions), a record is created in “Appointments”. Is this the case with the proposed solution or what should I do? Maybe you have a good idea?
The solution provided does do what you want. When a meeting is scheduled then an appointment record is created. However "schedule a meeting" and "log a meeting" are different. The former is scheduling an upcoming meeting and the latter is just logging one that already happened or will happen but I don't think it actually creates the meeting. So the workflow she did, which is what I used to do mine seen below, will work for schedule a meeting. You'll most likely need to add a "or" criteria or create a different workflow with a different trigger for a logged meeting to then create an appointment record.
Another case: what about creating a record in the appointment object and automaticly create a meeting as activity (means creating a meeting in my caledar which is synchronised with outlook)? Any idea if this could work and if yes, how to do this as a workflow?
Thanks this workflow worked for me. Also was able to add associations, property mapping from contact to appointments for custom properties, pipeline stage assignment and more.
