I see there are over 100 default properties. Many I wouldn't use.
Do these properties have special meaning or are they used somewhere automatically?
Can I use them to mean something else?
What happens if I try to delete one?
Eg Deal type
I don't know why I'd use this as new/existing. Can I use it instead to list the category of products they want?
Or Closed lost/won reason
I want to change into a dropdown.
Also, I want to keep track of some 3-4 appointment dates that most deals will have. Where would I store this? Eg we may have an initial meeting before they book.
The majority of these default properties cannot be edited but you can create new, custom properties for your needs. (Most of the default properties are deeply embedded into HubSpot's functionalities so it's better to not change them.)
HubSpot's default company properties -- Some HubSpot default company properties that have the same name as HubSpot default contact properties store information differently -- e.g., Industry.
