Mass Removing Contacts from Pipeline

resolver

Hello,

Is it possible to mass remove contacts from a pipeline? I want to free up pipelines but I can't if they have records in them. I don't want to delete the contact only remove the contact from the pipeline stage.

Hi @DMcLaren4

You can just delete pipelines in the settings:

But coming to my earlier point, there is no contact pipeline that I am aware of, rather contacts might be associated with the objects in the pipeline. So you need to either move these objects into a different pipeline or delete the objects, whichever makes sense in your case.

I appreciate what you are saying but I can't see a single option for mass removing 406 deals to a different pipeline. Doing this manually is just not practical - it'll take too long.

Is there a way to mass move the deals to another pipeline like I can mass delete them?

Hi @DMcLaren4

Once you selected all deals, click edit, select deal stage and change it to a stage and pipeline you want. Alternatively, just click delete if the can be deleted..

Hi @DMcLaren4

Can elaborate a bit and maybe throw in a screenshot or two?

Pipelines are usally reserved for deal, tickets and custom objects - so not sure which pipeline you are referring to that relates to contacts.

When you say you want to "free up pipelines" - what does that mean for you?

And why is that needed, and could that not be done by applying a few filters to a pipeline view?

Cheers

Frank

I want to be able to delete a pipeline and make a new one to avoid paying
for another one. I have 6 unused pipelines that have records in them
(contacts).

is there a way to easily remove these?

I'm still not following - how do I mass remove the contacts from the pipeline im trying to delete? Each contact has a deal associated to it, is there a way to mass unassociate with these deals?

Hi @DMcLaren4

I am going to try again slowly....

  1. Removing contacts from deals won't help you. You need to move these deals into another pipeline, or delete them
  2. Once that is done you can delete the pipeline via the pipeline settings screen
  3. Once that is done you can create a new pipeline

The IMPORTANT point is that contacts are totally irrelevant to what you are trying to do. The crucial HubSpot object are your deals.
