Mark Accounts Closed?

Hi,

I'm working on importing our data from an old ERP database (which we will still use) and it has a lot of duplicate companies. What is the best process for marking the duplicates, dead, etc as closed?

I don't want to delete them because they may have contacts from the imports associated with them.

I created a new "Type" of "Closed Account" but I was curious if there's a better way to handle accounts that are dupes, lost, out of business, etc?

I need to also consider future imports from our old ERP so I can't stray too far from our ERP.

Thanks!

Hi!

If you are considering import from your old ERP system, take a look at an automated migration service Data2CRM. The tool handles the deduplication process seamlessly (during this process the deduplicated records will be merged without unique data losses) with the ability to map fields/modules you want to migrate. If it is interesting for you, try to run a free Demo

Hope my answer will help you!
