Line Items visible in Company record

We are wanting to make the product line items visible at the Company record rather than just in the deal. Is there a way to do this?

Hi @sarahtinson,

Yes, with a bit of development it is, using HubSpot's CRM development resources: https://developers.hubspot.com/docs/platform/crm-development-tools-overview

You'd create a custom card by following the documentation, compiling the line items from the associated deal records. You can then add this card in middle pane or right sidebar of the company record, for example, in the 'Record customization' settings.

@sarahtinson You know, it's interesting to think about this; not all cards in the center need to be programmed.

There are a few types you can create without programming, like the no-code ones, and one of them is based on reports. Imagine creating a single-object report, say line items, and associating it with a company card.

The company card automatically adds the company filter, giving you a quick report with all line items related to that company. You can do similar things with deals and other objects associated with the company.

Why not give it a try and see if it meets your expectations? It's much faster to test this than developing a custom card.

And then, of course, with development, you'll have many more possibilities opening up before you. In the end, it's can a good path to take, but perhaps you can start by taking those first steps with the no-code functions at hand.

Hi @mangelet , How do you get this to work with line items? it doesnt apply any filter on the card.

Thanks!

Hi Martin! I think this solution is genius, I tried it myself with Deals on a Company Record and it worked wonders. However, it seems that if we add a Line Items report on a Company Record the report will not filter as expected.

I wonder if that's because 'company' is not a filter available in the report itself.

I believe it's a genius solution though! It will surely work for some other cases.
