Lifecycle for imported contacts

Hi,

Our sales team is frequently importing contacts - leads - into HubSpot. 

They get the "Subscriber" lifecycle stage by default - we want it to be Lead.

Is there a place in HubSpot where I can change this configuration, other than creating a workflow for it?

How would you approach this?

Hi @shiri,

You could either include a Lifecycle Stage column in your import file (see here).

Alternatively you can bulk edit the contacts after importing. To do so, simply navigate to Menu > Contacts, click More filters, search for Import, select your recent import, then select all contacts, click Edit and find Lifecycle Stage. You can then set it to "Lead".
