[Legacy] Date entered 'Lead (Lifecycle Stage Pipeline)'
SOLVE
Hi community,
This morning, as I extracted my data to build a custom analysis, I realized that the properties "Date entered '[X Lifecycle] (Lifecycle Stage Pipeline)'" had a "[Legacy]" added to each property (i.e. "[Legacy] Date entered 'Lead (Lifecycle Stage Pipeline)'"
Does anyone know what does this mean? Is HubSpot planning on sunsetting these properties?
You are correct HubSpot DOES plan to and is already in play to sunset these properties with introduction of new more powerful lifecycle stages properties: More in this Product Update
Below what the knowledge doc says:
What is it?
You will now have access to four (4) new HubSpot-defined Contact properties to track the progression of a Contact as it moves through lifecycle stages:
Date entered {stage id}
Date exited {stage id}
Latest time in {stage id}
Cumulative time in {stage id}
You'll be able to use these new properties in both reporting and workflows, and see the history of these properties.
Why does it matter?
Access the latest time and cumulative time that a Contact spends in each stage as it progresses through the Contact pipeline's lifecycle stages, for use in reporting and workflows.
How does it work?
These properties will be automatically updated as a Contact record moves through lifecycle stages.
Use these new properties in reporting, to gain deeper insights into how your business is converting Contacts.
Use them to trigger automated workflows, to scale business operations without manual intervention.

[Legacy] Date entered 'Lead (Lifecycle Stage Pipeline)'
SOLVE
We had the same question. One odditity we recently answered that may benefit others: The Count of [Legacy] Date entered {stage id} does not match the count of Date entered {stage id}
This is because [Legacy] date stamp is REMOVED if the contact moves backward.
Example: A contact moves from Lead to Pipeline in October. The deal is lost and the contact is moved back to Lead in November. The [Legacy] Date Entered Pipeline is REMOVED. As result, your October metrics will change. Or things like your "Contacts moved to Pipeline this year" will be wrong/change.
Most organizations seeking to track lead volumes by stage in X time will greatly prefer the new Date entered {stage id}
