Lead Status for Squarespace Form Submissions in HubSpot

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue where, previously, contacts created through our Squarespace form submissions were automatically assigned a “New" "Lead status" in HubSpot. However, someone on my team recently changed this setting, and now all new submissions are being labeled as “Spam” instead.

I need assistance in reverting this change so that new form submissions from our Squarespace site are once again assigned the “New" under "Lead status" by default.

Does anyone know how to restore this setting in our account?

Thank you so much for your help!

Hello @YShne

I know how I can help you here! 😁

If you want to revert the change and ensure that new form submissions from your Squarespace site are labeled as "New" under the "Lead status" in HubSpot, you try to:

  1. Find the specific form that’s linked to your Squarespace submissions.
  2. Check if there’s a workflow or automation connected to it that assigns the lead status. This is often where the lead status gets set automatically.
  3. If the workflow is setting the status to "Spam," you’ll need to edit this part of the workflow to change the status to "New".

Another place to check is the property settings for "Lead status":

  • Go to “Properties” under “Data Management” in the settings.

  • Search for the “Lead status” property and see if the default value has been changed to “Spam.” If so, you can revert it back to “New.”

Hope this was helpful! 😊
