Lead Source editing and adding new sources
SOLVEHi, colleagues,
We want to add several lead sources as we are getting leads from different expos - 3 markets/ expos + we generate leads through a Prospecting team via LinkedIn outreach, and not only that do not match the ones we have below:
It is weird that HubSpot doesn't let us add other sources, pretending to be the single point of truth regarding prospecting and sales, and has no option to add other fields. BTW. I do not even see in a lead (Prospecting) section an option to choose from a dropdown menu any of the options from a screenshot.
Any advice on how to customize it despite this notification below?

SOLVEHi @ISmolin,
The lead source is "the analytics source of the lead at the time of lead creation. This field is automatically set by HubSpot and can't be modified." You can neither edit the options not manually set it. It's a property for reporting only. It works similarly to the original source fields on the contact object.
If you want a custom source property, you can always create one in the property settings and maintain that in parallel. The default lead source cannot be used for that purpose.
