We have the Ringcentral integration installed, and users sending SMS from Ringcentral. A user has an option to manually log those SMS messages, so that they appear in the Activity feed.
But when we log those SMS messages Inbound - the Last Engagement Date doesn't update. This is a problem.
I was hoping to create a workflow to fix this bug, but I can't seem to manipulate the Last Engagement Field.
The Last engagement date is read only and can't be edited – and unfortunately, it also has a very strict definition:
Last engagement date: the last date and time of one-to-one email opens and clicks, lead revisit notifications, meeting bookings, and form submissions on the contact record. This is set automatically by HubSpot based on the date/time set for an activity when it's logged on the record only when the Contact owner property has a value.
You would have to create your own custom date property if you want to incorporate SMS messages.
