Issue with Using Tokens in One-to-One Emails for Dynamic Links

SOLVE

Hi everyone,

I’m currently facing an issue when trying to include dynamic tokens in a hyperlink within a one-to-one email in HubSpot (not marketing emails or landing pages).

Here’s what I’m trying to achieve:

  • I have a form link that dynamically pre-fills certain fields based on the contact’s properties (e.g., first name).
  • The URL looks something like this:

    https://share.hsforms.com/1FXNRRnau2Qe77CBdDg5gfqt?firstname={{contact.firstname}}

  • When I send the email, the token ({{contact.firstname}}) doesn’t get replaced with the actual contact’s first name. Instead, it shows the raw token (%7B%7Bcontact.firstname%7D%7D) in the URL.

If I put the link in the body it works but I need to create an hyperlink but the token is not being replaced dynamically.

I understand that one-to-one emails might handle tokens differently than marketing emails, but I’d like to know if there’s a way to achieve this without switching to a marketing email.

Has anyone else faced this issue or found a workaround for inserting dynamic links in one-to-one emails? Alternatively, is there a recommended approach to create dynamic email links in this context?

My goal is to send to the specific contact a pre filled form to check all datas and send us some updates about them.
