Is it possible to show a warning when a property is being changed?

Hi everyone,

I’d like to know if there’s a way to show a warning or alert in HubSpot when someone changes a specific property. The goal is not to block them from editing, but to remind them to be careful when making changes.

Is this possible with HubSpot’s native features, or would it require a workaround (e.g., workflows, custom code, or integrations)?

Hi @ozgesilla,

There is currently no native feature that would accomplish this, no. While UI extensions let you design specific input areas on a record that come with a warning, property values can be changed from a variety of places inside of HubSpot.

Something you could do:

1. Create a property "Are you sure? This is a critical property." (single checkbox)
2. Show this property as dependend based on your original property and make it required: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/set-up-conditional-logic-for-enumeration-properties
3. Use a workflow to clear the property from step 1 a few minutes after it has been set.
