I just want to put a task as due on a certain day - I do not need to denote a time. Is is not possible to just remove the time requirement? Seems onerous.
@GPopps I tested out what happens if you remove the time, it will default it to 12:00 AM instead.
One purpose behind including a time is because tasks can have notifications sent based on when they're due, so without a time those notifications would fail to trigger properly.
This can be very helpful if you need to follow up with someone at a specific date/time.
With that said, if you aren't using notifications, you can set the default time for all of your tasks to be due so you don't have to mess with it (or see a bunch that are overdue when you haven't even started for the day):

you're welcome @GPopps hopefully the updated default time will make it less of a pain, I found this idea that is requesting time to be optional - upvoting and adding your feedback in the comments is the best way to share your request with the product team.
