Importing contacts not working

My excel spreadsheet has the following columns

first name

last name

email address

phone number

When I try to upload it the system says: Your import is missing headers. Check your import file and make sure each column with data has a header. 

I did. All columns with data have headers. What is going on?

If your import file meets all the requirements described here, could you try to copy and paste the data into a new file and see if the error persists? The error you mentioned  ('Check your import file and make sure each column with data has a header.') often happens when the system recognizes the extra blank columns in the file.

Thank you for your reply. My file has 6 columns, from A to F, all have headings. It is an excel file so has blank columns from g to infinity but none of these have any data. What can I do for the system no to recognize the columns?

Hi @RafalPrus ,

Have you tried to copy & paste the data into a new file? Sometimes a cell with a blank space can be recognized as 'column without a header' and I would like to see if this is the case. (i.e Column G might have a cell with blank space)
