Import of multiple pipelines

SOLVE

Dear Community,

I am migrating data from our existing CRM to Hubspot, whereby we currently have multiple Pipelines. Has anyone tried to import multiple Pipelines at once?

I set-up the varies pipelines but was unsure Hubspot will match to one or the varies pipelines.

many thanks,

Patrick

Import of multiple pipelines

SOLVE

Multiple Pipelines worked using Deal Name, Deal Stage and Pipeline.

Ps. Problem solved this way:

We enabled automatic Company creation from Contacts.

Uploaded Contacts + Deals, using a unique identifier between the two objects.

Exported Deals and tied the Deal ID created from Hubspot to our Company file.

Upload Deals and Companies to associate those as well.

Import of multiple pipelines

Hi Patrick

In the file you're importing (CSV or Excel) add a new column named "Pipeline" and then for each row add the name of the pipeline.

HubSpot will then import the deals to the pipleine specified in the column.

Also, you'll need "Deal Name" and "Deal Stage" (which will be relevant to each pipeline).

Did that work for you?

Mike

p.s. If you Import your Deals with Contacts and/or Companies you can automatically associate them with your Deals .

Dear Mike,

thank you for the feedback. We will try that and let you know if it worked.

in respect to your "p.s. If you Import your Deals with Contacts and/or Companies you can automatically associate them with your Deals."

Have you got any tips on how to associate all three objects with one another i.e. Contacts, Companies and Deals?

We are having trouble in the sense that we can get two pairs (e.g. Contacts+Company; Company +Deals) but that leaves Contacts and Deals not associated with one another.  Importing the third pair does not work due to duplication.

warmest wishes,

Patrick

Import of multiple pipelines

SOLVE

Hi Patrick

The trick to linking Contacts, Companies and Deals is to import them all in the same spreadsheet. HubSpot will create the associations between them.

For example, if your column names are:

Contact First Name

Contact Last Name

Contact Email

Company Name

Company Domain

Deal Name

Deal Pipeline

Deal Stage

Then your rows are

Deal 1

Deal 2

Deal 3

Even if the Deals are all for the same Contact or Company the Deals will be imported, the Company and Contact will *only* be updated if the details are different. So, if your Contact and Company info is the same - no change to the Contact or Company.

To import them in one file choose "One file" then on the next screen choose "Multiple Objects". This will allow you to choose the Deal, Contact and COmpany in your file.

WARNING: if your import data for your Contact or Company differes from the data in HubSpot then your HubSpot data will be updated.

Hopefull your data is all in one spreadsheet.
