I am the "corporate hubspot admin" (in essence). Nearly all of my "team" are hands-on consultants or account managers. I do most of the day-to-date hubspot maintenance. I monitor other news feeds (LinkedIn, Google Alerts, Hoovers, Owler, etc.) for relevant client triggering events and press releases. I am trying to brainstorm the best method to integrate/capture those data points within our Hubspot portal. Looking for ideas.
@triz231 for some of those, the alerts are sent via email and so you could set them up to go to the Conversations Inbox and then automatically create a ticket. Only issue with this solution would be to link the ticket to a contact or company.
You could link it to a contact/company though by running each ticket through a workflow and then creating a custom workflow action to link a contact and company. Through this workflow action you could also classify the data point.
You can also do this with custom objects and then you don't have to use tickets.
The other thing you could do is create several CRM Cards - one for each data source and display it. But this would only be for viewing then, you could not use the data for automations/personalisation etc.
Lastly, you could use Timeline events to record these against a company via a small transactional script.

@darynsmith thanks for the ideas. The ticket scenario is interesting. I haven't used the ticket functionality. If I were to create a ticket for 'trigger event x' and get it assigned to the workflow, would it send a notification/alert to the contact/company owner in Hubspot?
