I lost my contacts

We are a team of 3 and wrongly we were working with 3 different accounts.

One main account linked with the 3 users (used by me as admin) and other 2 separated.

When we realized that we should work all in the same account we exported all the contacts from the other 2 accounts and imported in nthe mais one.

After the importation I realized that I lost most of my contacts from the main account and I dn't have any way to restore them.

I also realized that in the restore contacts page there are some names of the lost contacts associated with wrong contacts.

Can you help me restoring everything ? it is possible to restore to a specific date?

Hi, @vmtmotta ,

 

Export an contact list of other account to import in your account, this action dont remove contacts.

 

If you can try restore and not solved, talk with support in chat or e-mail to so they can see in your account what happened.

I will appoint some specialists to assist: @sharonlicari@Zakiya and @MFrankJohnson all contacts removed are appear in Restore for 90 days, alright?

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately I think I really lost most of my contacts as they are not in the contact list or recovery list.

On other hand, I see some (no all) the contacts mixed which means that some of my colleagues contacts (which I imported to main account) have the names mixed with different email addresses.

 

Can you please help to solve this issue and revert everything?

It is a big loss to our organization as I had very important information there.

Daniel was correct, usually, contacts that have been longer than 90 days in the recycle bin will be deleted permanently from your account and there isn't a way to recover them. 

 

Do you remember how long ago those contacts were deleted?

Unfortunately my contacts disapear when we import other contacts (2 weeks ago).

However they are not in the contact list neither in the recycle bin.

On other hand I see that some of the contacts imported mixed names and email contacts from different entities...

 

Can you help me revert this situation?

Can you please share more information around what happened? Did you import new contacts and that caused certain contacts to disappear? Do you have GDPR enabled in your portal which would cause contact deletes to be permanent? 

 

The more information, screenshots and details you can provide, the better the Community can assist!

Actually we wrongly had 3 accounts for the same team.

account 1 (main) - aprox 2000 contacts

account 2 - aprox 2000 contacts

account 3 - aprox 2000 contacts

When I understand that we should work with the same account with different users we imported the contacts from 2 of these accounts to the main one.

With this importation of the contacts from account 2 and 3 to the main account we lost arround 1500 contacts from the account 1 which not appear at recycle bin.

 

I don't know how to see if we have GDPR enabled in our portal .

Hi @vmtmotta,

 

To confirm, you were importing contacts from other accounts to consolidate your accounts and in the process some of the contacts did not import? Was there an error file associated with the import? 

 

Did any of the contacts you imported already live in the account? Did any of the contacts import? 

 

You can check your GDPR settings by following the steps here

Thank you for you message.

Actually what happens was that all the imported contacts were sucessfull imported but the contacts which were in the main account (the one we imported the contacts) lost the contacts that exists before the importation.

 

We have the GDPR  disable.

My account is 2514475 but the contacts who were previously in our account and no longer are I can't send you as I lost them.

 

Any help to recover them will be great!

Hi @vmtmotta,

 

Can you please direct message me an example contact of one who was in this account and is no longer there? Additionally, when you click "actions" on the contact page and select "restore contacts" are you seeing no contacts in your recycle bin, or just not the contacts you are looking for?

I see many contacts in the recycle bin but just a few ones that I lost.
