Hubspot vs Mailchip for CRM

Hello everybody,

I've got two problems. Hope you can help!

1#

I am currently managing the company's CRM and I am quite confused with different tools that we can find and how each tool can work with each other.

My company is growing and we are receiving emails from people of different backgrounds (Investors, suppliers, journalists, and so on).

We have already a Mailchimp account that is linked to our website and so far I understand, Mailchimp registers the contacts and it can help us to create mostly email campaigns. However, what I would like to do is to manage and filter my contacts according to the type of request from their emails using HubSpot. I had already synchronized my email to the email for HubSpot, but then I saw that you can link it to MailChimp which made me get confused and ask myself, what benefits or solutions this gives us for our CRM?

2#

I saw that I can save automatically the contacts from my mails to the list of contacts that I have in HubSpot. Moreover, I would like to filter them into the types of requests of their mails and therefore create a property of contact nature.

What do you recommend me to do?

Hi @FerDara,

Happy to hear that your company is growing!

#1: It sounds like the email that you connected already with HubSpot is your personal inbox which will allow you to communicate from HubSpot with contacts in the system from a contact record, company record, deal, etc. You can also connect mail to the conversations inbox, which is meant more for email groups such as sales@, info@, etc.

Connecting MailChimp to HubSpot will share the records from MailChimp to HubSpot and/or HubSpot to Mailchimp. In this case you would still use your MailChimp account for outgoing email marketing blasts (one to many). Note: HubSpot has this functionality to mail one to many as well using the marketing email tool.

2# If you want to filter you'll need to have a way to identify the contacts. You can use a list type (for example, CEOs List). When you add contacts to this list you can use the list membership filter to see just those contacts. Additionally, you could use a custom property for whatever value you'd like to filter by. The possibilities there are endless!

I hope that helps, but please book a meeting with me if you'd like to dig into this further.

Josh

Hey @Josh !

Thank you for your prompt reply!

I had already scheduled a meeting with you but I booked it twice. If you can consider only the meeting at 7:30 I would appreciate it.

Thank you again.

See you in a while!
