I just saw a remark in our Hubspot account that Hubspot Insights is being sunsetted. Breeze is supposed to replace the HI, but in order to use it you need to pay (a lot!).
I'm really shocked that a feature can just be pulled like that and be replaced by a paid feature. I've been looking, but it doesn't seem there is going to be a "breeze light" which would do the same thing has Hubspot Insights used to do.
Is everybody just fine with this? And better yet: is this normal behaviour for Hubspot to just pull features away - even from enterprise packages - ?
We are actively following this discussion and want to thank you all for sharing your feedback.
We understand that the sunsetting of HubSpot Insights, and the introduction of Breeze, has caused significant concern. We are taking this feedback seriously and have shared it with our product leadership team to ensure this sentiment is clearly understood.
We see the main point of confusion is around what is included versus what is paid, and we apologize for the lack of clarity. I want to provide a precise clarification:
- Core functionality is not a new paid feature for subscribers: The essential enrichment you relied on in HubSpot Insights is being integrated directly into the Smart CRM. As of September 3, 2025, this basic company and contact enrichment is an included feature in all Starter+ Core Seats.
- This function will no longer consume credits. For customers on these Starter+ plans, this essential functionality will no longer consume HubSpot Credits, which effectively serves as the new baseline for subscribers.
- Breeze is a separate, advanced tool: The Breeze Agents you’ve seen mentioned are a new, premium capability for advanced, customizable data and automation. It is not a direct replacement for the basic HubSpot Insights features.
We recognize that the communication around this transition has caused confusion and concern.
I hope this clarifies the distinction between the baseline enrichment (now included in Starter+ plans) and the new advanced functionality (Breeze). Bérangère

No, of course everybody is not fine with this, and it is not acceptable. Not sure where you reside, but a close friend of mine who works the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Market pointed out that if a function is included in a purchase, a similar or equivalent feature must be provided, otherwise it is a breach in contract/service level agreement and therefore not honoring the agreement. I've aired my frustration with a couple in the HS team and will await news before taking action. This has become personal for me, as I cannot stand when corporations take advantage in this manner, especially towards small businesses like ourselves that are striving to survive. If anyone else resides in the Netherlands, let me know, as the more complaints the ACM receives, the better.
I would also encourage everyone to do the same (each country has an authority to protect consumers and businesses). To set the expectation, these authorities may not resolve this problem, but at the very least, Hubspot will be flagged among these authorities and in their file. If they have done this, they are likely to do it again, so it would be good to have them as a flagged entity. First with data enrichment, email sequences or templates could be next....
Big regression... Could have at least keep the auto populate for the name of the company based on the webpage. When creating a company, it does not even automaticaly change the url to domain nowadays.
You’re not alone in this frustration! If you’re looking for a free alternative to HubSpot Insights, check out Enrich-CRM’s Free HubSpot Enrichment Solution. It enriches your HubSpot accounts and contacts with:
I agree - it definelty feels like a backwards step. Part of the reason we originally opted for HubSpot against it's competitors was the HubSpot insights function being such a time saver for our team. Now it feels like we're going backwards, especially as we've now customised the system so much some of the updates that the data enrichment will add it are not used by us (such as we've implemented a County Drop Down list instead of the free type property) so it seems ridicilous that we're going to have to pay for something we were getting for free. It will certainly make us think twice when it comes to our renewal.
Hey @HanzWil yes unfortunately this is the case that Breeze (paid credits) is replacing HubSpot insights. After seeing the reaction from the community and a lot similar sentiment to yours I decided to build a direct (and free) replacement for HubSpot insights.
AccountScout is free and automatically enriches the same 22 company properties Company insights did using the same default HubSpot properties so it just works when you install it.
It's currently in early access and has already enriched thousands of company records for it's early users. I'm making this for the community so would love to hear any feedback or requests!
AccountScout App
Here’s where things are at with AccountScout today:
What is AccountScout? It’s a native HubSpot app that enriches 20+ data points on company records and is a replacement for HubSpot company insights which will be sunset in March.
How does I use it? Install the app and AccountScout will automatically enrich new companies you add to HubSpot. Add the UI card to your company record view to trigger manual enrichments on any record.
What is the pricing? Basic company data enrichment (to parity with HubSpot company insights) is completely free. No credit system, no usage limits, no catches.
What can AccountScout do today? What’s coming soon?
Today (Feb 5th 2025) AccountScout can: 1. Automatically enrich 22 company data points (when available) including: company name, description, industry, founding year, company type (public or private), LinkedIn page url, employee count, address, city, state, country, annual revenue, total raised (full list on the website).
2. Enable manual enrichment of existing company records from a UI card on the company record.
3. Update default HubSpot company properties with no configuration needed to get started.
Here’s what’s planned in the next couple of weeks:
1. Add a workflow action for bulk enrichment
2. Add enrichment for company tech stack.
3. Show enriched company data in the UI card including data points beyond HubSpot’s default properties such as last funding date and total funding.
4. Improve industry mapping and support for custom options.
AccountScout looks great! I've signed up to try it out, but I just want to confirm a couple of things. My main queries are:
1. We have Salesforce integration with HubSpot - Would this affect the company enrichment in any way? If a company is created in Salesforce and passed across to HubSpot, will the record be enriched, and if so, will it still only enrich those properties which are missing? Just wondering if you already have users that have the Salesforce integration in place as well.
2. If a property is updated in Salesforce (or HubSpot as well for that matter), will any properties previously populated by AccountScout be overwritten. Which takes precedence?
3. Does AccountScout only update missing properties? So, for example - if the company industry is already completed, it won't update it? This would mean if it is incorrect, it would stay incorrect unless manually updated by a user?
1. Yes if the record is new to HubSpot it will be automatically enriched, and only the properties that are missing values will be updated.
2. That will depend on the specific integration or method for making the update. AccountScout is always non-destructive in the sense it never updates properties with existing values. I would definitly test this with your Salesforce integration in terms of how it treats existing property values.
3. That's correct today, I'll be launching a pro tier very soon that will provide much more flexibility and control over when to respect existing values vs overwrite etc along with workflow actions and the ability to refresh enriched data using AccountScout on whatever cadence you prefer.
I am utterly frustrated with this, the insights was of the main reasons we made the move to Hubspot and feel its being poorly handled. We have this process built into many of the workflows we use, they have given us a lot of work to do or pay, doesn't seem fair

Added a longer reply to this thread with more details too!
This change to sunset HubSpot Insights is incredibly frustrating. For years, automatic company data enrichment has been a core feature we relied on to streamline workflows and automations. Removing it—and only offering basic logos and names—feels like a downgrade masked as progress.
I understand companies evolve, but pushing customers toward a paid solution for something that was once included in our plan feels like a cash grab. This decision undermines trust and drastically impacts the value of HubSpot for many of us.
HubSpot needs to either reconsider this move or offer a reasonable solution for loyal users.
