Hi There! I have doubts regarding HubSpot tracking code, if we have contacts that have registered through a form, CTA or landing page and those assets are no longer in use and we want to delete them, do we lose the user tracking? TIA
HubSpot tracking is cookie-based and deleting assets like forms or CTAs doesn't have any effect on the cookies. These website visitors / contacts will continue to be tracked if they have accepted the cookies. However, if you delete HubSpot assets, you will lose the analytics data for these specific assets. Asset deleted = asset analytics gone.
Best regards!

@karstenkoehler I'm looking at this as well. And while i get the cookies thing - makes sense - when we speak to assets - and tracking of those assets - I need some clarity.
DO NOT DELETE IT - GOT IT. Can we rename it to the same name? If we upload a new version of a file with the same name does tracking start over? Is the tracking FILE NAME BASED or ASSET UPLOAD DATE related? If we update an asset - is it best to upload it with a new name and start tracking over based on the new asset elements?
