HubSpot + WordPress Forms: Custom Fields Like “Message” Not Mapping

mariselvi
Member

We are using WordPress as our website builder and have contact forms integrated with HubSpot via the HubSpot WordPress plugin.

Issue -When someone submits the form he “Message” field from the form is not stored in the contact or deal.

We have a separate field “Message” textarea, but HubSpot doesn’t seem to map them.

Unfortunately, the HubSpot plugin doesn’t show any custom field mapping settings.

Has anyone successfully mapped all WordPress form fields (including custom ones) to HubSpot contact or deal properties?

Would really appreciate any ideas,

Thanks

Hey @mariselvi! Create a custom "Message" field (or whatever you'd like to call it) in HubSpot, and MAKE SURE it's a single-line text field. When "catching" non-HubSpot form submissions, HubSpot will only catch the values into a single-line text field.

So although the field names match, the default Message field in HubSpot is multi-line text, so it does a bad job at "catching" those values passed over from WordPress.
