How to prevent logging emails FROM a particular address?

SOLVE

Hi All,

I have my HubSpot account connected to my gmail-based business account. I have a lot of messages (probably 70%) that come in from known email addresses that I do NOT need nor want to have logged, but can't find a way to prevent that from happening. 

I'm aware of the "Never Log" functionality but that only appears to affect outgoing messages, not incoming.

It seems there must be a way to accomplish this (and since there's no way to bulk-delete messages, simply deleting the messages is a big pain as well).

Connecting your "personal email" to HubSpot does not automatically log incoming emails, connecting your email to the conversations inbox does.

 

I'm taking a wild guess and assume you have done the latter.

Can you confirm which setup you have.

Connecting your "personal email" to HubSpot does not automatically log incoming emails, connecting your email to the conversations inbox does.

 

I'm taking a wild guess and assume you have done the latter.

Can you confirm which setup you have.

Hi Frank,

 

Can you confirm that the "Never Log" functionality only affects outgoing messages, not incoming?  That being said, for example: if I have Client123@abc.com on my "Never Log" list and he sends an email to me, Hubspot will in fact log it because I didn't orginate the email?  

 

I'm asking because I have a slew of emails and domains entered into our Never Log list but they keep being logged and I can't figure out why.

Yes, the "never log" functionality is only for outgoing emails.

 

The behaviour you are describing sounds like have connected your email to a HubSpot conversations inbox.

 

As mentioned above, connecting your "personal email" to HubSpot does not automatically log incoming emails, connecting your email to the conversations inbox does.

 

Can you check and confirm what your setup is?

Thanks Frank.  Our configuaration is setup to connect the email address to the conversations inbox (which is why the incoming correspondences are all being logged).  Please correct me if I am wrong.
