How to manually change lifecycle stage for contact

Hi there

I am new to hubspot

I am wanting to change lifestyle status from opportunity back to lead.

when i follow guide to do so the property "became an opportunity date" does not have an edit function attached under "about this contact"

Do i need to upgrade to a paid account to change theses settings

To change the lifecycle stage go into the contact, find the property, go to the dropdown, select the stage you want.

but I still cant seem to do this

When i go into the contact The only property I can see to change is "manage properties" under "property editor" tab. I am using free version does this restrict me from manually changing lifecycle stage.

Ok you realy are going to have to dumb this down for me, i just cant get it, sorry.

The first page I go to is the contacts page I want to change  or the settings tab on the top right of any page.

Hi @Benoi 

The 'became an' fields are read only, so you can not clear those if you move a lifecycle stage backward. 

However, they will be updated with a new value once the returns to the previously held lifecycle stage.
