How to include deal info within marketing email

SOLVE

GOod day, im struggling to create a marketing email which will go out to our contacts which will include information from associated deals.

We would like to send them their reference numbers from the deal/s associated with them. If they only had 1 we would create a property and upload the reference to a property however some contacts have 2 or 3. Are there any ways to do this?

Hey @DarrenScottUK the only way to use deal personalization tokens is in automated emails for workflows. These would only be useful in deal based workflows. So if there was multiple deals associated with a contact, the deal personalization tokens would populate with the deal that triggered the workflow enrollment criteria.

You could set any combination of deal, contact, company or other object properties as the enrollment criteria for your workflow but it will be enrolling the specific deal.

For example if I had something like this:

This workflow would enroll the deal based on the 2 deal properties I set and an associated contact having the "favourite food" value of "pizza". It will then send an automated email to the contact which has personalization tokens for "deal amount" and "Deal name" (you can use any deal or contact property property here as a personalization token too).

Outside of deal based workflows with automated emails you're right the only other way would be to copy a deal property value to a contact property value. This could be again automated with deal based workflows, enrolling the specific deal that meets the criteria, then setting an action to copy the value to a contact property. If the value is in a contact property you can use a personalization token in any of your HubSpot content to show the values for that specific contact.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions!
