How to find contacts that reach the end of a sequence?
Hi,
I used to create a task at the end of a sequence to find out which contacts have never responded. Dealing with tasks is a bit painful.
Can I set a query that will give me the list of contacts that went through until the end of a sequence without responding? If you know how, I will really appreciate getting your query.
A contact will automatically be unenrolled if they reply to an email in a sequence, so it sounds like the goal is to see which contacts completed the entire sequence.
There functionality isn't currently supported but the idea is currently being reviewed by the product team.
What is the last step in your sequence? If possible, can you provide a screenshot?
If the last step is unique to the sequence, you may be able to create a list based on contacts who completed the action.
For example, let's say the last email in your sequence is an email with the subject "Don't forget to sign-up for our webinar!"
If that email subject is only used in this sequence, you could:
Create a new list
In the filter type, select Activity Properties
Select Email Subject.
Select is equal to any of "Don't forget to sign-up for our webinar!" (be sure this is the exact subject).
This will return results of all contacts who recieved the last email in the sequence.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any additional questions here!
I wanted to refer you to this knowledge base article that explains how you can enroll contacts in a sequence. The next time you create a sequence, I would suggest setting up a task to function within the first sequence (making sure to title the task action with something that is unique to this sequence). The user can then create a list based on the contact's associated task title.
Best,
Kristen

How to find contacts that reach the end of a sequence?
Thanks for your help but maybe I didn't ask the question correctly.
I ran my contacts through the sequence already. Now that they have completed it, I want to move the contacts that didn't respond over to a new sequence.
There doesn't seem to be a way to do that. Do I have to group them somehow differently?
Thanks for the additional details on your goal! I wanted to refer you to this post where @karstenkoehler and @jimboroberts offer some ideas on how you can organize contacts who didn't reply to a sequence.
Best,
Kristen

How to find contacts that reach the end of a sequence?
Thank you very much for your reply.
I am not trying to find out contacts who have received the last sequence email but the ones that not responded to any email and have therefore reach the end of the sequence. To achieve this goal, a task is created for the contact at the end of the sequence. This way I can find all the contacts who have that task assigned.
So this works but I am looking for a more efficient way of finding these contacts without having to assign a task to them as the last step of the sequence. Perhaps a query that will leverage a property like Now in sequence.
Is there any properties available to find the contact who have reached the end of a sequence without responding to any emails?
