How to add field for "confidence" that opportunity will convert?

Hi everyone!

 

What I'd like to accomplish is to add some sort of field to a deal that shows how confident we are that this deal will close.

 

This is to the end goal of being able to see at a glance, "oh, this deal represents $5,000 and after giving the demo, we're really confident we'll win this" vs. "this deal represents $5,000 but after giving the demo, we're only 50/50 on whether we'll win it".

Apologies if there's nomenclature for this that I'm not aware of. But basically forecasting based on confidence so we can get a feel for how realistic it is that we'll close what's in pipe so we can plan and forecast accordingly.

 

Like if a big deal is sitting there and they're qualified, we know that we COULD win it, but we're not 100% sure they'll bite... is there a way to indicate that?

Deal closing probability can be set in the pipeline settings, see here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/crm-deals/set-up-and-customize-your-deal-pipelines-and-deal-stages#to-...

 

Each deal also has a "Deal probability" field (which you can find by clicking "View all properties" in the left sidebar of any deal record) where you can change the value from the pipeline / stage default to whatever you like.

 

Forecast reports and the numbers at the bottom of the deal board view (Menu > Sales > Deals) will update accordingly.

This is so helpful, Karsten, thank you!

Very easy to set up.

Now I'm wondering if there is a way to auto-adjust this # based on what stage the deal is in? Like if it progresses from Stage X to Stage Y, the confidence auto-adjusts from 50% to 75%?
