How to add companies to Company Based List without filters?
SOLVE
Hey everyone,
I made a list. Now I want to manually add one specific company to this list.
Somehow this seems difficult to do. It seems lists only want me to use filters, which is completely uninteresting and unnecessary. Anyone explain how to me?
HubSpot has two list types. One that accepts manual additions, one that runs on filters. The way each list type works contradicts each other. Filters would contradict manual additions/removals. That's why it's not possible directly.
If you want to be able to add companies manually, let's assume you have active list A. Create another static list B. In your list A, create another filter "OR company is member of list B". You can now add contacts to list B and they'll automatically enter list A.
This is the closest you'll get to manually adding companies to an active list without having to adjust the filter every time.

@KJonsson, I found a much cleaner solution. Simply create a Static List and choose really any filter (you'll delete it in a minute, so try adding one you know doesn't have a ton of results). Once the list has populated all your results, you can select all companies and remove them from the list. Since it was a Static List, the companies will not be re-added, and you are now free to manually add companies to the list.
Now just go to your Companies object, manually search for the company you want, select the option "Add to static list", and select the list. Done!
First off: I'm not the one developing the product. I'm an indepentent user that helps other users in his free time. If you're frustrated, don't shoot the messenger.
Secondly, you can add companies by simply filtering for their company domain name or record ID. When you think about it, it shouldn't be possible to add single companies to an active company list as that would cause all kinds of conflicts for the list filters. If a list filter conflicts your manual addition, what should the list filter do? Ignore or override your manual addition? That's likely why HubSpot isn't allowing this.

I don't believe I did "shoot" you. I simply tried clarifying your answer.
I want to add a company to a list - any list - without adding a filter. I simply want to click a button that says "Add to list" or similar.
Having one filter per company in a list seems like the worst workaround. I understand you are trying to help, but I do not understand why this isn't a basic function of HubSpot.
Anyways, this is a problem without a solution I guess. Thanks for your help.
