How long email bodies are stored in HubSpot/CRM

Hi guys, 

I've found an interesting information in FAQ saying that email bodies are automatically purged in CRM.

Could someone please help me understand if it is really true and, if yes, if it is applicable only to some specific cases?

Otherwise, I'm not sure I understand how features like conversations / threads can work if the email bodies are automatically purged.

How long is email data stored in HubSpot?

All email bodies from all connected inboxes, regardless of whether they're shown on a contact timeline, are stored for 7 days before they are automatically purged.

Yes, it's true that email bodies in HubSpot CRM are automatically purged after a certain period. After the 7-day period, the email bodies are automatically purged from the system.

But is it really applicable to the Inbox / Threads feature? That is, I'd expect the conversations/threads (incl. full email body/message) in the Inbox to be stored indefinitely.
