How do you switch a contact property to be a company property?

Résolue

Is there a way to change a property from a contact one to a company one? We have custom properties that are categorized under contacts now from our old CRM, but we want to move them to be at the company level instead. For example Type: Prospect, client, vendor. They are client, but we go by the company level

Hi @JesRichards . If you have a Professional or Enterprise level subscriptioin to HubSpot marketing software, you can build a workflow to move a contact property to a company property. Otherwise, you will have to do it manually.

If you can create a CSV with the correct values, and the CSV includes the Company Domain Name and Company Website you can upload it as a company import and populate the properties that way.

i realize this is seriously old, but in case anyone else was searching in 2024 like me: We can just "Clone" the property. When we click clone, HubSpot gives us the option to change the Object Type. I just cloned the property from Contact to Company. This client does not have enterprise level. I hope this helps other surfers!
